International contract development and manufacturing organisation for biological medicines, headquartered at Bothell near Seattle and owned by the Japanese group AGC, formed from the earlier CMC Biologics and later acquisitions. Makes proteins and antibodies from mammalian and microbial cell lines, plasmid DNA, messenger RNA and cell and gene therapy products at sites in the United States, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Japan, and provides cell line development, process development and analytical services.
