Alliance for Health Promotion

International non-governmental organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, formed in 1997 at the fourth International Conference on Health Promotion in Jakarta as a non-governmental advisory group to the World Health Organization and registered under Swiss law in 2008. Holds official relations with the World Health Organization and consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and brings together member organisations including pharmacy and health professional bodies to advocate for health promotion, prevention and health literacy.
