Autonomous University of Madrid

Spanish public university on the Cantoblanco campus north of Madrid, founded in 1968 and among the country's leading research universities. Teaches through its faculty of medicine, based at the La Paz and other Madrid teaching hospitals, its faculty of sciences with chemistry, biology and biochemistry and its faculty of psychology, runs master's and doctoral programmes in biomedicine and pharmacology, and carries out research with its own institutes and joint centres including the biomedical research institute with the national research council.
