Botswana medicines regulator in Gaborone, established under the Medicines and Related Substances Act of 2013 and operating since 2018, which oversees human and veterinary medicines, medical devices, cosmetics and controlled substances. Registers medicines and devices, licenses and inspects manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacies for good practice, authorises imports and exports and clinical trials, runs the national pharmacovigilance and adverse reaction reporting system and acts against substandard and falsified products.
