Chinese public medical university in Fengtai district, Beijing, founded in 1960 as Beijing Second Medical College and run by the Beijing municipal government. Teaches through schools of basic medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, public health, nursing, stomatology, biomedical engineering and rehabilitation, with the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences covering medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology and pharmaceutical analysis, and it runs more than twenty affiliated and teaching hospitals in Beijing including Beijing Friendship, Tiantan, Anzhen, Xuanwu and Beijing Children's hospitals, with research institutes and a large clinical trial base.
