Central South University

Chinese public research university in Changsha, Hunan, formed in 2000 by the merger of Central South University of Technology, Hunan Medical University and Changsha Railway University, with its medical school descended from the Yale-in-China Xiangya Medical College of 1914. Runs the Xiangya School of Medicine, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, one of the leading pharmacogenomics centres in the country, with the Xiangya hospitals as its teaching hospitals and research in drug metabolism, individualised therapy and clinical trials.
