Publishing house of the French national centre for scientific research, founded in 1990 out of the centre's earlier publications service and based in Paris. Publishes several hundred titles and about twenty journals a year across the sciences, medicine and health, history and the social sciences, including reference works and books aimed at a general readership, and sells them in print and digital form.
