South Korean private university in Jung-gu, Seoul, founded in 1906 as Myeongjin School by the Korean Buddhist Jogye Order and given its present name in 1953, with further campuses at Gyeongju, Goyang and Los Angeles. Teaches across Buddhist studies, humanities, law, business, science and technology, medicine, oriental medicine and pharmacy, and its College of Pharmacy at the Goyang campus runs the pharmacy degree with research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmacology alongside its hospitals.
