South Korean pharmaceutical company founded in 1968 and headquartered in Seoul, with its manufacturing plant in Jincheon in North Chungcheong province and shares listed on the Korea Exchange. Known for the Centella asiatica based products Madecassol and Centellase and the periodontal medicine Insadol, it makes prescription and over the counter medicines, injectables and medical devices and has expanded into cosmetics with its Centellian24 line and into health functional foods.
