Erasmus MC

Dutch university medical centre in Rotterdam, the teaching hospital of Erasmus University Rotterdam and the largest university medical centre in the Netherlands, formed in 2002 from the Dijkzigt and Sophia hospitals and the university's faculty of medicine. Provides tertiary care including the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute, the Sophia children's hospital, transplantation, neurosciences and virology, runs a hospital pharmacy with its own preparation unit and a department of clinical pharmacy that carries out therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic research, and hosts a large clinical trials and translational research programme.
