Heliopolis University

Egyptian private university on the Cairo-Belbeis desert road in Cairo, founded in 2012 by the Sekem initiative and devoted to sustainable development. Its Faculty of Pharmacy teaches the pharmacy degree with departments of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy and pharmacology and an emphasis on herbal and phytopharmaceutical products, and the university also runs faculties of engineering, business and arts together with a heliopolis academy and research on medicinal plants, organic agriculture and natural product formulation linked to the Sekem farms.
