INSERM U 1088

Joint research unit 1088 of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, hosted with the Universite de Picardie Jules Verne at Amiens and known as the Mechanisms of Pathologies and Adaptations laboratory, working on the biology of pathologies linked to protein misfolding and cell adaptation. Studies molecular and cellular mechanisms of degenerative and metabolic disease, oxidative and carbonyl stress and their therapeutic targets, and works with the Amiens university hospital on translational studies within the wider INSERM network, which was founded in 1964 and is France's principal public biomedical research institute.
