Joint research units of Inserm, the French national institute of health and medical research, with Université Paris-Saclay south of Paris, among the largest concentrations of biomedical research in the country. Work on cancer, immunology and infectious disease, neuroscience, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, radiation and imaging, pharmacology and public health and epidemiology, run laboratories and platforms shared with the university and the Paris-Saclay hospitals, and carry out clinical and epidemiological studies including drug safety and pharmacoepidemiology.
