Chinese pharmaceutical company founded in 1997 in Chongqing that completed the asset restructuring of the Chongqing General Chinese Medicine Factory in 2002, with 40 million yuan of registered capital and 810 million yuan of total assets. Integrates research, manufacturing, sales, medicinal plant cultivation and decoction piece processing around finished Chinese medicines, working from a production and research site of more than 200 mu with 20,000 square metres of buildings and around 670 staff, of whom 41 percent are technical. Recognised as a national Torch Programme key high-tech enterprise, a national key agricultural industrialisation leading enterprise and a national poverty alleviation leading enterprise. Holds state protection certificates for 13 Chinese medicine varieties, 20 nationally exclusive products, 17 products covered by invention patents and two designated high quality Chinese medicines, with 69 products in the national medical insurance catalogue and 35 in the national essential medicines list.
