Public research university in Abu Dhabi, formed in 2017 by merging Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research with the Masdar Institute and the Petroleum Institute. Teaches medicine through its college of medicine and health sciences, together with chemical and biomedical engineering, chemistry and biology, runs research centres in biotechnology, healthcare engineering and materials, and works with Abu Dhabi hospitals on clinical and translational research.
