Japanese private university with its main campus at Higashiosaka in Osaka and further campuses in Nara, Wakayama, Hiroshima and Fukuoka, founded in 1949 and among the largest private universities in the country. Teaches through its faculty of pharmacy, its faculty of medicine, its faculty of agriculture and its science and engineering faculties, runs the Kindai University Hospital and an aquaculture research institute, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and natural products.
