Saudi public university in Jeddah, founded in 1967 as a private university and made public in 1971, one of the largest universities in the kingdom. Runs a Faculty of Pharmacy teaching the Doctor of Pharmacy with departments of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, natural products, pharmacology and clinical pharmacy, alongside faculties of medicine, dentistry, applied medical sciences, science and engineering, with King Abdulaziz University Hospital and research centres in drug delivery, natural products and clinical trials.
