British company of Labcorp, the American laboratory and drug development group, which runs its clinical research unit at Leeds in West Yorkshire, one of the larger dedicated early phase facilities in Europe and formerly operated under the Covance name. Carries out first in human and other phase one studies with its own beds, screening clinics and volunteer panel, patient studies in special populations, human challenge and bioequivalence work and clinical pharmacology assessments with on-site laboratories and sample handling.
