Faculty of science of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, part of a university founded in 1887 and moved to Hamilton in 1930. Comprises departments of chemistry and chemical biology, biology, biochemistry and biomedical sciences, psychology, neuroscience and behaviour, physics and astronomy, mathematics and statistics and kinesiology, teaches undergraduate and graduate programmes in those fields and carries out research in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, antimicrobial resistance through the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research, structural biology and biointerfaces with its own analytical facilities.
