Metabolytic is developing a long-acting subcutaneous delivery of a peptide analogue to treat type 3c, or pancreatogenic, diabetes (T3cDM), which recent estimates indicate accounts for 8-9% of all diabetes cases globally, or tens of millions of cases. With no treatment currently available that specifically addresses the unique challenges of T3cDM, the company is addressing a huge unmet medical need.
