Midlands State University

Zimbabwean public university at Gweru in the Midlands province, established in 1999 out of the Gweru teachers college, with further campuses at Zvishavane, Kwekwe, Mutare and Harare. Teaches through faculties of medicine and health sciences with medicine, nursing and radiography, natural resources management and agriculture, science and technology with chemical technology, biotechnology and applied biosciences and social sciences, and runs its own laboratories with research in medicinal plants, food and environmental chemistry and biotechnology.
