Mie University

Japanese national university in Tsu, Mie prefecture, established in 1949 from earlier normal and agricultural colleges and with a medical faculty added in 1972. Teaches through faculties of humanities and law, education, medicine, engineering and bioresources, with its graduate school of medicine and bioresources supporting pharmacology, medicinal plant, food science and biomedical research, and runs its own university hospital.
