Bangladeshi public university at Sonapur in Noakhali district, established in 2001 and teaching since 2006. Runs a department of pharmacy together with departments of applied chemistry and chemical engineering, microbiology, biotechnology and genetic engineering and food technology, teaches degree and master's programmes in these subjects, and carries out research on medicinal plants, drug formulation, microbiology and food safety in its own laboratories.
