Indian state university in Patan, Gujarat, established in 1986 as North Gujarat University and renamed Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, affiliating colleges across the northern districts of the state. Runs departments of pharmacy, chemistry, life sciences, microbiology and biotechnology and affiliates pharmacy and science colleges, with its pharmacy department teaching the Bachelor and Master of Pharmacy and doctoral research in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacology.
