Aker site of Oslo University Hospital in the Norwegian capital, one of the trust's hospital campuses alongside Ullevål, Rikshospitalet and Radiumhospitalet, with roots in a hospital opened in 1895. Provides specialist services including diabetes and endocrinology, urology, gastrointestinal surgery, addiction medicine and geriatrics, hosts laboratory and outpatient services, and is being rebuilt as a large local hospital for the eastern boroughs of Oslo; the trust runs hospital pharmacies and a large clinical trials programme.
