Japanese company of Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, the French American pharmaceutical group formed in 1990 when Rhône-Poulenc bought Rorer, whose businesses passed into Aventis and then Sanofi. Sold the group's prescription medicines in Japan and ran regulatory affairs, clinical development and pharmacovigilance for the Japanese market, work that continues within Sanofi K.K. in Tokyo across diabetes, cardiovascular disease, rare disease, immunology and vaccines.
