Indian state agricultural university at Sardarkrushinagar in Banaskantha district of northern Gujarat, established in 1972 and reorganised under its present name in 2004. Teaches through colleges of agriculture, veterinary science and animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, food processing technology and basic sciences and humanities, runs research stations and a veterinary hospital across the region, and carries out research on dryland crops, animal health, dairy and food technology and soil and water testing.
