Indian deemed to be university with its main campus at Kattankulathur in Chengalpattu district near Chennai, Tamil Nadu, founded in 1985 as SRM Engineering College and granted deemed university status in 2002, with further campuses at Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Delhi-NCR at Modinagar and Amaravati. Teaches engineering and technology, medicine and health sciences, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, science and humanities, management and law, and runs its own medical college hospital and research centres.
