Ugandan private not-for-profit hospital at Nsambya in Kampala, founded in 1903 by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa and owned by the Catholic archdiocese of Kampala, one of the country's largest mission hospitals. Provides general and specialist care including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, HIV and tuberculosis services, oncology and intensive care, runs a hospital pharmacy and laboratories, trains nurses, midwives and other health workers at its own schools and takes part in clinical research.
