Brazilian public hospital at Sumaré in São Paulo state, opened in 2000 and run by the University of Campinas under contract with the state health department. Serves the towns of the Campinas region through the public health system with emergency, maternity, surgical, paediatric and intensive care services, runs its own pharmacy and clinical laboratory, and teaches medical, nursing and pharmacy students of the university alongside residency programmes and clinical research.
