Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital

Chinese teaching hospital in Guangzhou in Guangdong province, founded in 1835 as the first western style hospital in the country and now the second affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, a class three grade A general hospital working across several campuses. Provides general and specialist care with breast and other cancer treatment, cardiology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and paediatrics, teaches the university's medical students and residents, and runs its own clinical laboratories, hospital pharmacy, a good clinical practice unit for drug trials and translational research centres.
