American public research university in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1870 as a land grant college and one of the largest universities in the United States. Runs the College of Pharmacy teaching the Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate programmes in pharmaceutical sciences, together with the College of Medicine, colleges of veterinary medicine, nursing, dentistry and public health and the Wexner Medical Center, with research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, translational therapeutics and clinical trials.
