The University of Kitakyushu

Japanese public university run by the city of Kitakyushu in Fukuoka prefecture, founded in 1946 as a foreign languages college and made a university in 1950, with campuses at Kitagata and at the Hibikino science park. Teaches environmental engineering, chemical processes and life sciences through its faculty of environmental engineering, together with foreign studies, economics and law, and carries out research on environmental technology, biochemistry and materials with local industry.
