Chinese public research university in Haidian district, Beijing, founded in 1911 and one of the leading universities in the country. Runs the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the School of Life Sciences together with schools of engineering, science and the humanities, teaching pharmaceutical sciences and biomedical engineering, and conducts research in drug discovery, structural biology, medicinal chemistry and biomedical engineering with the Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital as its teaching hospital.
