French public university at Grenoble in the Alps, in its present form since 2016 when the three Grenoble universities were brought back together and enlarged again in 2020 with the local engineering and political science schools. Teaches pharmacy and medicine through its health faculties on the La Tronche campus, together with chemistry, biology and engineering, works with the Grenoble university hospital for clinical teaching and trials, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, drug delivery, biotechnology and public health with joint laboratories run with the national research bodies.
