Chemistry department of Umeå University in northern Sweden, part of a university founded in 1965. Teaches chemistry and biotechnology to degree and doctoral level, runs research groups in organic and medicinal chemistry, environmental and analytical chemistry, biological chemistry and computational chemistry, hosts national infrastructure for metabolomics and protein science, and works with the university's medical faculty on chemical biology and drug discovery projects.
