Faculty of sciences of the University of Lisbon at Campo Grande in the Portuguese capital, founded in 1911 out of the polytechnic school. Teaches biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science and geosciences with master's and doctoral programmes, and runs research units including the BioISI biosystems and integrative sciences institute, the centre of chemistry and biochemistry and LASIGE, working on drug discovery and medicinal chemistry, protein science and membrane transport, biomedical informatics and analytical methods.
