Universidade de Vigo

Spanish public university in Galicia with campuses at Vigo, Ourense and Pontevedra, created in 1990 when it separated from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Teaches through faculties of chemistry, biology, food science and technology at Ourense, industrial engineering and telecommunications, with degrees in chemistry, biology and food science and technology, and carries out research in analytical chemistry and food safety, marine natural products and biotechnology, biomedical engineering and nanomaterials through institutes including its marine research centre and the Galicia Sur health research institute with the Vigo hospitals.
