Romanian technical university at Timișoara in the Banat, founded in 1920 as the first polytechnic school of the country. Teaches chemical engineering, industrial chemistry and environmental engineering alongside mechanical, electrical, civil and computer engineering, runs laboratories for organic and applied chemistry, materials and process engineering and works with the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries of western Romania.
