French public university in the Grand Est region with campuses at Nancy and Metz, created in 2012 by merging the region's universities and the national polytechnic institute of Lorraine. Its Faculty of Pharmacy at Nancy teaches the pharmacy degree with departments of pharmaceutical chemistry, galenic pharmacy and biopharmacy, pharmacognosy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacy, and the university also runs faculties of medicine, science and engineering schools with research units in medicinal chemistry, drug delivery, chemical and process engineering and biotechnology.
