British public research university on a campus at Coventry in the West Midlands, founded in 1965. Runs Warwick Medical School teaching medicine and biomedical and health sciences, a Department of Chemistry with strengths in polymer chemistry, magnetic resonance and chemical biology and a School of Life Sciences, and carries out research in antimicrobial resistance, cancer, biomedical imaging and synthetic biology, with the Warwick Clinical Trials Unit running large multicentre clinical trials.
