AstraZeneca (Sweden)

Swedish arm of AstraZeneca, the Anglo-Swedish biopharmaceutical company formed in 1999 by the merger of Sweden's Astra AB with the British Zeneca Group and headquartered in Cambridge, England. Its Swedish operations comprise the Gothenburg research and development centre, one of the group's three strategic research sites, working on cardiovascular, renal and metabolic disease and respiratory and immunology, and the large manufacturing site at Södertälje, which makes tablets and other solid dosage forms and packages medicines for global supply.
