Indian autonomous engineering college in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, Karnataka, founded in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasaiah and run by the BMS Educational Trust, the first private engineering college in India. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, it teaches chemical, biotechnology, mechanical, civil, electrical, electronics and computer engineering with research in bioprocess technology, chemical process engineering and materials relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
