Greek national research centre with its head office at Thermi near Thessaloniki, founded in 2000 and one of the country's largest research organisations. Works through institutes for chemical process and energy resources, applied biosciences, information technologies, bio-economy and agri-technology and transport, carries out research in medicinal chemistry, nutrigenomics and functional foods, biomarkers and diagnostics, biotechnology and digital health, and provides analytical and testing services and technology transfer to industry.
