Mexican public research centre in the city of Guanajuato, founded in 1980 and part of the national council for science and technology network, with further sites at Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Mérida and Monterrey. Carries out research and postgraduate teaching in mathematics, statistics and computer science, works on biostatistics, probability and data science applied to health and biomedical problems, provides statistical consultancy and modelling to industry and public bodies, and trains master's and doctoral students.
