East Carolina University

American public university at Greenville in eastern North Carolina, founded in 1907 as a teacher training school and part of the University of North Carolina system. Teaches through the Brody School of Medicine, the College of Nursing, the College of Allied Health Sciences and its chemistry and biology departments, works with ECU Health for clinical teaching and trials, and carries out research in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, biomedical science and rural health.
