Vietnamese public university in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City with campuses in Binh Duong, founded in 1990 as an open training institute and made a university in 2006. Teaches biotechnology, food technology, environmental science, business, law, languages and social sciences, runs laboratories for microbiology, molecular biology and plant tissue culture and offers distance and continuing education alongside full time programmes.
