Holistic Drug Discovery and Development Centre

African drug discovery centre at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, founded in 2010 and the first integrated drug discovery centre on the continent. Runs medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and drug metabolism groups on malaria, tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance, has taken its own compounds into clinical trials, provides screening and profiling services and trains African scientists in drug discovery with support from foundations and public funders.
