Kenya Veterinary Association/GOK

Kenyan professional association for veterinary surgeons, founded in 1961 and based in Nairobi, which represents veterinarians in practice, government service, academia and industry. Runs continuing professional development and its annual scientific conference, publishes the Kenya Veterinarian journal, advises government on animal health, veterinary medicines and public health policy, promotes professional standards and welfare and works with the veterinary board on registration matters.
