Saudi public research university in Riyadh, founded in 1957 as the first university in the kingdom. Runs colleges of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, applied medical sciences, nursing, science, engineering, computer and information sciences, business and the humanities, together with King Saud University Medical City and its teaching hospitals. Its College of Pharmacy teaches pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacy and runs drug discovery, natural product and pharmaceutical technology research.
